HTS was contracted by the State of Connecticut to develop strategic roadmaps for Health Information Exchange (HIE) and Health Information Technology (HIT) Operational Plans. HTS staff bring decades of experience in Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) processes, phase-gate reviews and implementation activities. Our consultants have worked at state and national levels in support of State Medicaid Health Information Technology Plans (SMHPs) and HIT Implementation Planning Documents (IAPDs).
HTS assisted the University of Connecticut to develop a detailed HIT Operational Plan as part of a four year multi-million dollar State Innovation Model (SIM) grant from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). HTS also worked with the Connecticut Department of Social Services to develop an IAPD in partnership with stakeholders across the State.HTS provided Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to help put the Medicaid HIT Plan into action. Ultimately, Connecticut was successful in their submitted request for federal funding to acquire and implement the proposed HIT Plan services and equipment.
HTS worked with multiple state agencies and the University of Connecticut to support initiatives which aim to improve the delivery of care through better coordination, common performance measurement across payers, and value-based payment for primary care. HTS actively engaged stakeholders to produce plans for implementation in support of both HIT and SIM grants.
